SpringBoard Recovery, one of Arizona’s most respected drug and alcohol rehabilitation and treatment centers and located in North Scottsdale, near Phoenix, is extremely pleased to announce that Robert Castan has been chosen as our new Chief Executive Officer (CEO) – effective May 24, 2021.
With a rare aggregate of substance addiction treatment experience and industry knowledge to draw on, Robert’s clear and focused intention is for SpringBoard Recovery to achieve, and then maintain its prospective standing as the best substance use disorder treatment center in the southwest of the U.S.
Formerly a member of the Executive Leadership Team here at SpringBoard Recovery, Robert has become a real industry leader and highly trusted voice in the world of substance addiction treatment since his humble beginnings as a young house manager. He is considered an expert in the fields of organizational growth, industry-leading outcomes, and comprehensive marketing strategies.
Furthermore, Robert understands first-hand the power of substance addiction and has been walking his own path of recovery for over 10 years – a path that has driven his personal goal of making high-quality treatment available to as many others as possible who are struggling with addiction.
“Passion with Purpose”
As Robert recently explained, “In an era of worsening rates of drug and alcohol use, mental illness, and behavioral issues nationwide, far too many drug and alcohol addiction treatment centers are now trying too hard to do it all, to be everything to everybody. In many cases, because of this, they are sadly falling short.”
“At SpringBoard Recovery, we know who we are. We know what we are extremely good at, and that is treating people with substance use disorders – comprehensively and successfully. In doing so, we never lose sight of the actual person we are helping, or the personal hopes and aspirations they have for a future completely free from substance use. It’s passion with purpose, and it’s the reason we exist.”
SpringBoard Recovery was originally co-founded by Laura Nuss and Jason Bordonaro, currently on the Executive Leadership Team, who, respectively, had this to say about Robert’s appointment as CEO:
“As the co-founder of SpringBoard Recovery, I could not be more honored to have Robert representing us as CEO. Appointing him to this position aligns with our goal of excellence. He brings a wealth of knowledge to our organization, and has proven to be an effective leader. We are extremely fortunate and excited to have someone of Robert’s caliber on our team.” – Laura Nuss, Co-Founder of SpringBoard Recovery
“I am excited and grateful to have Robert serve as the new CEO of SpringBoard Recovery. I know his passion for helping others, his incredible leadership skills, and wealth of experience in our field will be a much welcomed addition to our organization. Robert truly embodies SpringBoard‘s core values of being refreshingly human and inspiring change.” – Jason Bordonaro, Co-Founder of SpringBoard Recovery
SpringBoard Recovery: A “Refreshingly Human” Approach to Addiction Treatment
Opening their doors for the first time in 2014, SpringBoard Recovery’s mission was, and still is a simple one – to inspire change in those who want to recover from substance addiction. Since then, there have been many notable highlights in the development of SpringBoard Recovery:
- 2015: Hiring Masters-level licensed therapists
- 2016: Offering Partial Hospitalization Programs to those in need of the best in intensive program care
- 2017: Awarded the Gold Seal from The Joint Commission, the country’s leading healthcare accreditation organization
- 2018: Offering comprehensive and innovative Accelerated Resolution Therapy (ART) for those whose addiction is rooted in previous traumatic experiences
- 2020: Our “Refreshingly Human” rebranding, amid new investment
SpringBoard Recovery provides individualized and holistic addiction treatment, fostering an inspiring community that supports recovery from addiction, trauma, and other mental health issues.
A last word from Robert, our new CEO: “As it says on our website, our approach is “Refreshingly Human” – vital in a world too keen to label each of us as this or that, in this category or in that category, an alcoholic or a cocaine addict. It is this human side, this humble heart we share and show to people who come to us in need of treatment, and it is this simple humanity that enables us to inspire the changes these people are desperate for and deserve.”
Robert’s other passions include traveling and keeping physically active, with an emphasis on biking. He resides in Arizona with his husband and two dogs.
