Traveling From Cranston, Rhode Island to Arizona for Rehab at SpringBoard Recovery

It does not always work for people to go to rehab in their own city, or even their own state. In fact, traveling for rehab has become a lot more common in recent years, and there are several reasons for that. They include the following:

  • Some people may want to get away from triggers and bad influences at home that could cause them to relapse.
  • Some people may need to relocate to escape a dangerous home environment.
  • Some people may have health insurance that is not in-network with any of the local drug and alcohol rehab facilities.
  • Some people hold public positions or jobs, and they may want more privacy while they get addiction treatment.
  • Some people may want certain treatments that are not available close to home, such as holistic withdrawal treatment.

Arizona has become a popular place for people to travel to for drug and alcohol rehab. It is always warm there and the environment is peaceful, serene and inviting. SpringBoard Recovery is located in Scottsdale, Arizona, and our facility is scenic, comfortable and refreshing.

Does Health Insurance Cover Rehab?

Every health insurance plan is different, but many of them will offer benefits for out of state addiction treatment programs. This is very dependent upon the facility and the health insurance companies they work with.

At SpringBoard Recovery, we have made it a priority to partner with many of the nation’s top health insurance companies. This has allowed us to offer our services to more people all over the country.

We always recommend for people to allow us to verify their benefits prior to starting rehab. This way, there will never be any questions about coverage, and it allows us to maximize our clients’ benefits. We want them to pay as little out of pocket as possible.

What to Expect During Rehab

For those who have never been to rehab before, going for the first time can make them feel nervous. We want to help clear up any confusion and answer any questions people might have about what to expect when going to drug and alcohol treatment in Cranston.

Please keep in mind that not all of the following are appropriate for every person. It is always a good idea to get a professional recommendation before committing to a rehab program.

Cranston, RI Detox Programs

Detoxing is a critical part of the addiction recovery process in most cases. There are some drugs that do not require it, but many of them do, and for good reason. Drug and alcohol detox can help reduce the effects of withdrawal symptoms, which can be very difficult to manage without professional help. Sometimes they can even be life-threatening.

Going through the detoxification process rids the body of unwanted toxins that cause withdrawal. While there are many options available for detox, we highly recommend holistic treatments and medication-assisted treatment (MAT) for those who are addicted to alcohol and/or opioids. It combines FDA-approved medications for symptoms with behavioral therapy.

Cranston Inpatient Rehab and Long-Term Rehab Programs

Inpatient rehabilitation involves patients staying at a facility for 28 days while they get the help they need. Many inpatient programs also offer detox services in-house, which patients will go through upon their arrival. Afterward, they participate in various types of therapy and therapeutic activities.

Long-term rehab is for those who need a longer period of time to recover from addiction. It offers more intensive therapy in both individual and group settings. Case management services are also available to help people learn how to live without relying on drugs and alcohol to make it through the day.

Outpatient Rehabilitation Centers in Cranston

Outpatient rehab programs are also available, and many of them can be just as effective as inpatient treatment. In Cranston, Rhode Island, there are three main types of outpatient care:

Not all of the above is appropriate for everyone entering recovery. PHPs and IOPs are the best options for those who have never been to treatment because they offer a higher level of support.

More Recovery Options

There are a few other ways that people can get support as they recover from addiction as well. Sober living homes offer recovering addicts and alcoholics a safe place to live while they focus on the healing process. Residents must pay rent (unless it is covered by their insurance), contribute to the home in some way, and go to treatment according to their schedules.

12-Step programs and other support groups are also available that can help people recover and stay on track. There are several available in Cranston, and they include:

Al-Anon and Alateen meetings are also available to help hurting families as they struggle to cope because of a loved one’s addiction.
