Do you have trouble controlling how much or how often you’re drinking? If you’ve answered YES, you’re probably already dependent on alcohol and need help getting sober.

Alcohol Withdrawal

When someone tries to suddenly stop using alcohol after a prolonged period of excessive use or dependency, they’ll most likely experience alcohol withdrawal. Depending on the individual’s consumption history, alcohol withdrawal symptoms can vary in their severity and length. For some people, symptoms are mild to moderate, while for others, they can be painful and even life-threatening.

Common symptoms of withdrawal include:

  • Headaches
  • Nausea
  • Elevated Blood Pressure
  • Excessive Sweating
  • Rapid Heartbeat
  • Seizures
  • Anxiety
  • Hallucinations
  • Irritability
  • Agitation
  • Delirium Tremens

These symptoms can be so intense that people often start back drinking just to make them stop. For that reason, getting support from a professional detox facility is highly recommended.

Alcohol Detox

Detox is a crucial first step in the recovery process. It is the stage in which your body is cleansed of alcohol and its toxins. The goal is to help you to get mentally and physically stable enough to begin rehabilitation.

Springboard works with trusted detox facilities in the area to help make your withdrawal safer and less uncomfortable.

  • Detox typically lasts about 5-12 days
  • Medical professionals ensure your personal safety throughout the process
  • Medications may be used to help ease withdrawal symptoms
  • Detox facilities provide a safe and supportive environment for patients

This place is one of the best places. This being my first time in treatment I was lost and didn’t …know what to expect. They made it so easy to transition to. The staff is caring, loving, and very respectful. My fellow patients were also amazing. I would do anything for them. Although I don’t hope to ever be back as a patient. I will be back to check in and share my progress in sobriety. 100% would highly recommend!
