Many people do not know where to get help for alcoholism. They may know about rehab programs and support groups, but they do not know how to get the process of attending them started. AA and Al-Anon are great places to start. It is very easy to find a meeting in Glendale, Arizona.

What is Alcoholics Anonymous?

Alcoholics Anonymous, or AA, is an organization that offers weekly support group meetings for people who are alcoholics. If meetings are listed as open, that means that family members are more than welcome to attend as well. AA has helped millions of people successfully recover from alcohol addiction and stay on track.

What is Al-Anon?

Al-Anon was founded for the purpose of offering support to people with alcoholic loved ones at home. They also offer weekly support group meetings. Families often struggle with knowing what to do and who to turn to for help. They may be participating in enabling behaviors that have only allowed the addict to continue to use. Al-Anon can help them identify those behaviors and take the appropriate steps to change them.
